Any information about the Woundy collection that was at the Stamford Museum and natur center would
be appreciated. I am a family descendant.

Since crewing aboard "H.M.S. Surprise" nee "H.M.S. Rose" during the production
of the film "Master & Commander" in 2003, I have come across your pages regarding
experiences aboard her and offer you heartfelt condolences for having endured them, and profound
congratulations on having survived them.
The list of incompetent actions on the part of the owner/"master" of the vessel at that
time is too long to present here.

http://www.bwpowell.com/bemishouse/manuscript.html - You have some info about Augustus Schlotterbeck
when describing a bottle found in your "bottle tip". The company Schlotterbeck and Foss
still operates in Portland since their founding in 1866. http://www.schlotterbeck-foss.com/

Hello Mr. Powell! This summer I found 4 mooring holes on Follins Pond. I would love to ask you
some questions about your work with Mr. Pohl and the mooring hole on the Follins Pond skerry. I was
unable to find that one, possibly due to erosion, and am wondering if you have any pictures of it.
Also, I would love to know the exact location of the charcoal remains that were once on Mill Pond.
Thank you for your great and entertaining site!

I dug this item up from the yard of a private residence at the corner of sw 21st Road and 2nd
Avenue, a little west of South Miami Ave and north of Rickenbacker. It is bronze, and the blade
section has an edge on both sides. The tip is broken. It is 17" long. In the swale, about
40' or so away, I found what might possibly be the broken haft receptacle of a bronze tool or
weapon. I also found what looked like a broken factory produced domed bar of copper or bronze a half
