An overhead view just above the tank, shows the rectangular cavity into which it was installed, and the influent and effluent soilpipe connections. On the tank lies a bundle of red-and-blue engineers flags which will be inserted in pits as they are uncovered. Also, and by way of scale, lying on the lower end of the tank can just be seen a tiny archeologist’s trowel – with wooden handle and actual metal blade – only 3/8ths in. long! The basins arc sweeps through the upper half of the illustration, while to right, can be seen a cleared interior portion of the Circle with many random “solution pits” – some of them the peculiar “figure 8” or “double hole” pairs frequently noted onsite. To left of the septic tank lies the “chaotic zone” (see separate) with rock-filled pits and a remnant “problematical” still intact (described elsewhere).
