The model described herein was made by B. W. Powell of North Miami Beach, FL, who was a member of the original excavating team at 8/DA/12. He has excavated and published on a number of historic and prehistoric archeological sites in our country, mostly in New England. He is an accomplished model maker as well, having made numerous scale model rigged ships, and is a onetime editor of an industrial model making magazine, and Science Editor of two encyclopedias.
